Update from the hospital

We found a computer with internet access in another section of the hospital -- sign says "for use of families of Oncology patients." Close enough.

Not much has changed with Hyatt's condition; the Neurologist still feels that we need tme to observe and that we shouldn't be getting too anxious over small changes on a daily basis; it's more the large changes that occur over a few days that matter most. Time is working both for and against us here -- every day that she doesnt wake up, it becomes less likely that she will, but with each passing day we can learn more and more from her.

The front tooth she broke last night probably needs to be extracted in the near future so she doesn't have more discomfort by clamping down on it further.

Lots of us coming and going -- I've been up here helping Troy out with various stuff, but he's been able to spend considerable time with Hyatt as well.

Rebekah said her first word today; she looked at Troy this morning and said "Dada."

Pete-I have been keeping up with the blog. I asked a friend who has a devoted prayer group to pray for Hyatt. I also asked Marilyn, and she has the most static-free line of anyone I know...she is praying hard. Peace be with you. Love, the Howerton's

I am a co-worker of Troy's and I have read a lot of this blog. It is so sad that this has happened. I have only known Troy for about two years but I know that he LOVES his family. I have been praying for Hyatt and the family. I have also told other friends to pray. I wish I could do something more but I know that I can't. GOD is in charge. Everything happens for a reason even though we don't know the reason. To Troy and all of the friends and family, Keep your faith in God. He knows best. May God bless all of you.

1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

I have been keeping up with Hyatt's condition along with all those with her now and have been at a total loss for words. I would like to say though that Grandmama and Granddaddy would be proud of what a close supportive family they raised and in turn our parents as well. I know they are pulling any strings they can. Hyatt and family have been constantly in my thoughts and prayers ane will continue to be.
I wanted to include a short but sweet poem I like.

Love on its errand bound to go
Can swim the flood and wade through snow
Where way is none t'will creep and wind
And eat through Alps its home to find

Hyatt, please get better! I love you!

Love to ALL!
cousin Emily

Please continue to keep us updated, as we really do care what's going on. I watch the blog 2-3 times a day, and can hardly keep current. You are doing an awsome job of letting us know what's happening. Love to you all from someone who hardly knows you. Shirley Morton

You got this 50 year old father of two little girls bawling like a baby with that "Dada" story. May God bless the Nolans.

Dear Jane,

Your Greensboro friends are thinking of you and praying for you and your family.

Hyatt is the beautiful person that she is because you are her mother. Those precious little girls are blessed to have you for a grandmother.

Much love,
Gail

You don't know me, but a friend shared this website with me and I felt compelled to let you know I'm praying for you and your family and will continue to do so.

When your foundations crumble around your, faith allows you to stand in the rubble. Keep standing --and when you can't stand anymore, take comfort in knowing that so many are standing for you, holding you up in prayer.

God bless.

Troy and family,
Brenda Olson called me earlier this evening and told me about what has happened to Mary (Hyatt). We are praying for a miracle. Please tell Hyatt that we love her.

Michelle and I came by Monday evening, and spent some time with Hyatt and her dad. He is an amazing man - such courage to have that positive attitude in the midst of all the goings on.
Our prayers are continuous for Hyatt and her family during this time. I don't like the phrase "everything happens for a reason". God doesn't give you pain and suffering. I believe God gives you the strength and resources to handle the pain and suffering life presents you.
Love,
The Schumachers

My name is Jill Christopher and I am one of Sidney's preschool teachers. I want you to know that my family, along with the entire staff of the preschool, is constantly praying for you all. Though I know that your house is in turmoil right now, I wanted you to know that Sidney seemed well had a great day at school today. She played with Georgia on the playground and pretended to go shopping at Costco. She painted, colored and learned a song about the Bible. We celebrated a birthday in class today and got to put frosting on cookies and eat them. I remember telling Hyatt after Sidney's first day of school that she (Sidney) is such a sweet, kind-hearted little girl and is truly a joy to have in class. Please know that we will continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers. May GOD bless you all.

You have no idea who I am but my co-workers and I are praying here in Delaware. We heard yesterday and will be praying as a group at 10 am everyday and continously as individuals.

May God be with you all and give you strength, peace and wisdom in this time of great need. We thank God for Jesus Christ otherwise this would be unbearable without Him.

I have also send a message to some prayer warriors in Zimbabwe and they will be praying for you.

Take comfort in that He promised to be with you always and we are all in this with you. There is no way strangers like me can cry over this situation if God was not in this situation.

Troy et al: Thank you for arranging the opportunity to sing to Hyatt this afternoon. It was such a blessed gift to unite with everyone and share the songs that Hyatt loves most. It is a moment in life that we shall always hold dearly in our hearts. Love, Lea
