Hyatt's condition has remained stable this morning, and she's been calm. I talked with all the specialists, and nothing has changed -- we're still waiting for her mind to wake up. Patricia and I came over to the hospital, so Troy could go home and play with and talk to Sidney for a while. Jane, Sally, and Julie have been up here visiting as well.
They're now up here so Sid can visit with her mom -- I'm sure Troy will have more about that later. I've evactuated friends and family so that nobody would accidentally see Sidney on her way in; there would be no way any of us could hold it together watching that little girl come up to visit Mommy, and Troy didn't want her to see her loved ones look at her and fall apart.
Mom drove Troy and Sidney over, and she's going to take them to McDonalds after the visit so she and Troy can spend more time together over some McNuggets. We're calling Nancy and Whitney to come in later, so they can visit Hyatt some and so Patricia and I can go back and play with Rebekah.
Herman hasn't been doing real well and is now physically ill himself; I don't think he's been eating or sleeping much at all. His brother Ronnie is taking care of him right now. My dad has an orthopedist appointment later today, so hopefully they can do something acute for his pain. So far, the cure has been heavy narcotics, and that's making him seem even loonier than he normally is.

thank you for posting all these details for us Pete. You are all in my thoughts all the time as we hope for Hyatt to wake up.
All of us are in constant care of you, Jane, and of Hyatt, Troy and the girls. Every bit of strength we have, we're sending. Our prayers are never-ending.
Dear Pete,
This comes from Fishers, Indiana to let you know that several prayer groups are praying for your entire family. Although we have never met, I wanted to let you know your story has touched so many hearts here! Even our five year old son is on his knees praying for Hyatt. Sincerely, The Suarez Family
Ingrid, Ruth, Sue, Gail, and Theo and all of your Greensboro friends, Jane, are keeping you and Hyatt and family in their thoughts and prayers.
I hope that Hyatt can draw strength from knowing her baby is there by her side.
I can't even begin to imagine what you are all going through Troy.

Hi, you don't know me, but I'm a friend of Tracy's. Please know that Hyatt and all of you are in my family's thoughts and prayers. I recieved a miricle for a friend of mine this summer and I'll pray you get one as well. We never know God's will or the paths before us or how now may be saving us from something later. Take care of each other.

Oh Troy - I'm sure taking Sidney to see Hyatt today is beyond difficult. You're a fantastic father and doing a wonderful job under extremem circumstances. We're all thinking of you....
Troy and family,
My heart is with you this afternoon, and I am thinking of Hyatt and her perfect graciousness and complete beauty. She was with me as a Camper and Counselor at Johns River Valley Camp for many years. Today I'm visualizing all of us up on Vesper Hill, singing camp songs and praying prayers for Hyatt. As I close my eyes I can see her smile as we walked those beautiful hills and valleys. She was a treasure to us Troy, and will continue to be. None of us knows why these things occur, but I believe God is with us always, and will strengthen you daily. On behalf of all those who were part of her "Johns River Camp Family" - I tell you we love you brother, and we love Hyatt so much as well. Know that we are thinking of you minute by minute. Lee Jessup - Lexington, North Carolina.
I dont know you or your family, I just heard about you through our church prayer chain. I am praying for you and praying for healing for Hyatt. I can only imagine what your family is feeling. Being the mother of two I cant even imagine.
We will keep praying for all of you.
God Bless,
Tracy(Florida)
My sister went to high school with Hyatt. Is there any way you could post a picture of Hyatt on the blog? I just learned about all of this today and am bawling my eyes out. Please tell the family that I will be storming heaven and asking our Heavenly Father to heal Hyatt from head to toe. God bless you, Debbie White Wilkins (sister of Kathy White)
Pete, thank you so much for all that you are doing. We have never met, and I feel like I have a new friend. I am Joy's husband (Justin). Joy is Hyatts cousin (Hermans sister Mary Anne is her mom) and we live in SC. We are all praying for Hyatt.
In Christ,
Justin
Troy,
I know taking Sidney to see her Mom is emotionally tough for you, but I am proud of you for doing it. You can't image how much this will mean to her in the years to come. Stay strong, Bruce and my prayers continue for Hyatt.
Pete,
Happy Birthday! Thank you for all the updates and for taking care of your brother and his family. I loved the comment about your Dad (my brother), LOL :)
I love you all.
Aunt Eileen
I want you to know that SO many people are praying for Hyatt and the family...people you will never know or see or meet (this side of heaven). "By His wounds we are healed!". Love, Debbie White Wilkins (sister of Kathy White)
One of our staff members was forwarded the link to this blog by one of her friends who knows Hyatt. We all wanted to extend our love and thoughts to you during this time. All of us here have asked that your family be included on many prayer lists. May God keep and guide you during this trying time.
With love,
The Girls at Drs McMillan and Winkler's Dental office.
Dear Pete, your humor in the midsth of this heart-wrenching experience has helped me absorb the shock of this news. Thank you for doing all you are doing.
I have pulled out all my high school pics today, almost in an effort to wake Hyatt up and "bring her back" to so many people who love her.
I have scanned a couple of high school pics and would love to share them...if there is any way you can post them... where can I send the pics?
I, along with many of friends who have never met Hyatt, are praying for her, the family, and the medical staff - for a miracle and peace in this storm.
Love, Kathy (White)Bryant
Our family will pray for all of you. I read of this from a mom's group at Centreville Baptist. BTW, if your dad needs orthopaedic help of any kind, my father-in-law is one, and we'd be more than blessed to help in any way. (703) 803-8310, Ubelhart
You don't know me or my family, but we are friends in Columbia, South Carolina. Our thoughts and prayers are with you day and night. I wish there was more we could do.
