Angels

I've been touched these past two weeks by many angels....

Sidney and Bek are the two angels that Hyatt has given me - they are my reason for waking

The BMAK mom's truly are angels - you women have made this burden much lighter - thank you for taking time away from your own families for me

Allen, Pete, Steve and Bill - my wingmen through this - keeping themselves together to help me hear and process all that goes on around me - and sacrificing time from their own families for mine...

Fr. Barkett and Fr. Stephen - your prayers, guidance and reassurance have help me be open to the grace that God is continually sending me ...

For all those praying for Hyatt, my Family, and Me - I am grateful beyond words

Keep the Faith - still praying for a Miracle.

Troy.

PS how long has it been since you kissed your family - don't lose sight of that!

John Choi just told Mike tonight about what was going on. As I'm sure you feel, I just can't believe that this is happening. We are praying for Hyatt and for your family and as soon as I hit publish, I'm going to go give kisses to my family.

Troy,
Tony and I are praying for you. We live a few doors down and feel helpless we can't relieve the pain you and your family are going through. We think about you every day and say a prayer when we pass your house. Please let us know if you need anything.

My husband and I have truly been touched by your situation. You two sound like such a wonderful couple made complete with two beautiful children.

We attended the prayer vigil at St. Mary's. What a moving experience. As this is our parish also, we understand how much peace one can get putting it into God's hands. Father Barkett and Father Stephen are wonderful and undersstanding. We continue to pray for you. God bless you. John and Olga Pavlick

Sending big prayers and hugs your way. Thinking of you and the girls everyday. I was linked to your website thru Allyson's caringbridge site. Storming heaven with prayers for you, the girls, other family members and for Hyatt's Mom & Dad. God Bless you all.

Troy,
John told me the news about Hyatt and this webpage. My thoughts and prayers are with Hyatt, you and your family. I live nearby in Springfield so please don't hesitate to let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

This is a twofold prayer - for a miracle and for examples of holy Christian Marriage.

For those of you unfamiliar with the Catholic process for canonization (declaring someone to be a Saint), in addition to the Church examining the virtues they practiced while on earth and other examinations, they need to have some miracles attributed to their intercession.

Louis & Zelie Martin already have one miracle attributed to their intercession (and will be declared 'Blessed' on Oct. 19th), and need one more miracle as part of the process for them to be declared Saint Louis & Zelie Martin. The first miracle was obtained by the mother of the gravely ill child praying the prayer for the Martin's intercession for the health of their son and for their beatification (step prior to canonization). The prayer below is similar, and is the prayer for their canonization.

It is not uncommon for the miracles needed for the 'process' to be granted to those who have some connection to the special concerns of the 'blessed' or 'blesseds'. One miracle attributed to their intercession was in 2002 when an Italian infant with terribly damaged lungs was inexplicably cured after his parents prayed to Zelie and Louis Martin.

Given the Martin's holy marriage and family life, that Zelie became seriously ill while yet young, and that they had daughters to raise, I think we can easily see a relationship to Troy, Hyatt, and their girls.

Please join me in the daily prayer below:

"God of eternal love, You give us Blessed Zelie & Louis Martin, the parents of St. Therese, as an example of holiness in marriage. They remained faithful to You in all the duties and trials of life. They desired to raise their children to become saints. May their prayers and example help Christian family life to blossom in our world today. If it be Your Will, grant me the grace I now ask of You, through the intercession of Blessed Zelie & Louis Martin,
(strength & grace for Troy & family, acceptance of God's Will, and healing for Hyatt)
and let them be counted among the Saints in Your Church. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen."

Troy, I've been praying this for you all since the eve of the 'Nolan National Holiday' (September 17th) when I came across the prayer.
