Arrival in DC -- 7:30am?

I won the family race to DC, and Jane arrived at the hospital about 60 minutes later. Troy was on his way back to the room, but asked me to go in the room. I was surprised how Hyatt looked when I saw her. She was unconscious and a machine was breathing for her, but she looked like Hyatt. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't the healthy flesh color I saw.

On the drive up, Troy had told me the doctors had told him to "pipe down" because his voice was agitating he and they needed to get her calm and stable. Since Troy and I sound a lot alike, I didn't say a word, but just held her hand.

When Troy got to the room he asked if I had talked to her. I said no, I didn't want to agitate her. Troy let me know that the pipe down comment was directed more at the volume level of his voice (Troy reminded me he has a problem remembering when to use his indoor voice and outdoor voice).

Hyat was twitching a bit when we touched her or when we spoke, but this apparently doesn't necessarily mean anything about high-level brain activity. Lots of crying and hugging for all of us over the next few hours.
