Hyatt cannot possibly know how many people are praying for her right now. Her family, all of her friends, all of her friends' friends, etc.
Many of these people have never met Hyatt, but just know of her from stories from her families and friends.
In her hometown of Greensboro, a 400 person student assembly was called at St. Pius X elementary school to pray for someone they had never met -- a young mother who needs to live for her friends, family, husband, and her toddler and infant daughters.
Many church services are being said in her name yesterday and today.
Julie, my good friend in Chapel Hill (who has met Hyatt only once), told me that she sent out the Hyatt prayer request to her prayer network. They reported back to her of prayers having been said...right before we heard the news of Hyatt waking up. I don't know the details of this network, but if it's really that timely, I'd be interested in knowing more.
It goes without saying everyone who has heard of this situation is praying as hard as they can Hyatt and all of her family. But it hasn't gone without saying...EVERYONE wants us to know how much they care.
Jennifer, my sister the Sister (ok, my sister the ex-Sister) has been focused on prayer. If she's got a more direct line than the rest of us, then this is the time to use it. I doubt it's a more direct line, it probably just has less static.

I sent out a request to the prayer chain at my church, too. We are praying for Hyatt's healing and for supernatural comfort for the whole extended family. We are also are praying that Christ will be glorified through this situation and that everyone will know what an awesome God we have by the miracles He provides! I am looking forward to hearing good news about my new friend.
Hi. My name is Paula Bartlett and I heard about you through Danielle Schaeffer (my sisters step daughter). I know what it is like dealing with a horrible illness. My son (16yrs old) was just diagnosed with leukemia on 8-8-08 and is undergoing 3 1/2 years of treatments. Thank goodness we have our faith in GOD, who is the ultimate healer. Just know that he is holding all you in his arms and HE will bring you all through this according to HIS will. That is the hardest thing to hold on to. Because HIS will isn't necessarily our will, but HE will make all things better. I wish you GODs peace through all this and ALWAYS keep the faith. God Bless
I am praying for Hyatt and the family. Believe me, miracles DO happen. I have first hand experience. I had twin boys last year at 26 weeks gestation. I wont go into many details, but we were told with most certainty that one of our little boys (he had congestive heart failure, lung failure and extreme hydrops) would not survive. Even after surviving the first few weeks, he was so sick and unresponsive, weighing in at a mere pound, that we should consider taking him off life support. Well, 14 months later he is a normal, healthy little boy. I truly believe he is only as well as he is because of all the prayers that went out for him and God granted us a miracle. I pray He will do the same for Hyatt and your family. Keep faith...
