No appreciable change in Hyatt's condition as of tonight. This evening, the church choir Hyatt and Troy sing in came by to (softly) sing some of Hyatt's favorite songs to her. It was amazing, touching, heart-breaking, and plenty of other words that end with -ing. Hyatt and the rest of the family appreciated that gesture and memory so much....thank you.
We had yet another huge dinner, courtesy of the local moms and kids. I took Troy back over to the hospital tonight to spend the night with Hyatt (Herman ended up staying with his daughter last night).
There has been another family hanging out in the waiting area the last few days -- a couple with a baby. English isn't their first language, and I've heard from them is the father continually singing/humming in the softest voice you can imagine. Our two families have barely made eye contact, to my knowledge. Today they approached Patricia and me and told us they have been praying very hard for the young woman in the first room, and asked what her name is. The woman said now it'll be easier for her to pray because they can use her real name. They told us her mother is in the CCU, and left with only a few inches of viable lung material. The doctors had told them just few days ago that the situation is hopeless, but now she got better and will live; the pulmonary doctor told her his only explanation was a miracle. She said this is proof that her prayers worked and so she will now pray extra hard for our loved one. Her husband just kept softly singing as she talked.

Hi all-
Hyatt's cousin, Laura, brought me one of her CD's tonight in the hopes that I could do something with her music so it could be shared with others. As of now I have created a music myspace for her, which can be listened to by
anyone, and downloaded by myspace users, at:
www.myspace.com/hyattnolanandfriends
Additionally, I have added it to Internet Archive, and all of the songs can be downloaded in MP3 format at:

Please know that there are legions of us in SC praying for a miracle, and for comfort and faith for everyone. I've not had the chance to meet Hyatt myself, but have heard many wonderful stories. Much love and prayer-
Julie S.
ps. that archives website ends with _553 after "HyattNolanAndFriends".
You are loved and being prayed for. All of you. I have especially been praying for the girls. Thank you for living your faith in a time that would be so much easier not to. You are speaking volumes to others. I
You don't know me, but a person from an online community sent the link to this blog and I have just spent the last 45 minutes reading the entries here. I am so very sorry for all that you and your family and friends are enduring right now. I will be thinking of all of you and praying for Hyatt. Hyatt sounds like a wonderful person who has touched the lives of so many people. Her family still needs her, her work is not yet done.
You are so loved by so many. You've been in my prayers day and night. I'm praying for your strength, stamina, courage and healing, and peace. You've all been such a powerful witness to faith and grace. (If this is read by any body in the family...get that tooth out ASAP if there has been a pulp exposure. Oral bacteria is especially bad for the heart. We can deal with an implant later. Call the oral surgeon on call for the hospital. The physicians may not think about this. I am a dentist who does lots of hospital dentistry.) Praying for you all, M in SC
Hello everyone: You were put on a prayer list by Patsy Coleman, at Christ Church Detroit. I too, have spent long hours in an intensive care unit waiting, worrying, praying; learning the hard dance of trust and surrender many times over....we lost two infant sons to a rare, neuromuscular disease and we have one child with spina bifida; we do understand what you are going through!
I will keep you all in my prayers and keep checking in on your blog......may God be with you, holding you in His love, friendship, companionship and Grace. In Peace, MIchelle Wilbert, Detroit, Michigan
Hi, we are neighbors of Troy and Hyatt's just down at the end of Lennice Way. We have met both of them just a few times and found them to be a very sweet and loving family. I remember seeing Hyatt and Sidney outside a few weeks ago in their yard in the sunshine playing with their golden retriever and they looked so happy. Hyatt gave me a warm smile and waved. My heart broke when I heard the news from another neighbor and was so happy to see this blog and able to keep updated on her progress. I just want to know to know that we are praying very hard for Hyatt to get better and have a full recovery. Keep your faith in God and pray for him to be by your side and to help you thru this difficult time. I have a positive story for you. This summer my cousin's 17 yr old son had a severe reaction to some pain medication he was given after he had surgery for a shattered arm. His mom found him the next morning not breathing and near death with no idea how long he had been like that. He was airlifted to a hospital and they found that the lack of oxygen had damaged all of his major organs to some degree- heart, liver, kidneys, etc. He was put into a drug induced coma for a few weeks and the white matter in his brain had been severely damaged and he had limited brain activity. To make a long story short, he has recoved and is home doing physical therapy but is very active and he astonished all the Drs there. They all had thought he would be in a vegatative state the rest of his life. So I am telling you this to show you that miracles do happen and we are praying so hard like so many others for Hyatt, Troy, their beautiful daughters, their parents, and the rest of their family.
Tony and family, my dear friend, Heidi Burns VanVooren, requested prayer and I have been praying for Hyatt and all of the family every time of think of you, which is VERY often. This is a very touching situation and I am following the blog closely, expecting any time for the report of a miracle. I know by reading the blog that you are expecting a miracle as well.
I am a recipient of many miracles, both physically and financially, and I want to share a couple with you.
I have 3 lovely daughters, 21, 19 and 18. Before I had children, I was told I could not have children unless I had heart surgery first, as I could not carry them past the 6 month because of the stress on my heart. I was told it would kill me. I am a living witness that prayer changes things - no heart trouble at all.
I've been at the point of death 2 times, both times within just a few minutes I was told later by the doctors. Again, God was right there to see me through.
My mother was killed suddenly in a car accident a few years ago. It happened on a Sunday afternoon. She taught her Sunday School class that morning and told the students if she's ever in a car accident and critically injured, she prayed God would take her home right then. About 4 hours later, that's exactly what happened.
The events leading up to that day indicated that God had somehow let her know her time was soon to come and she prepared for that time. We didn't know what was going on, although I felt that she wouldn't be with us long. So I did some things for my Mom that I knew she always wanted.
Although it was hard to lose her, it was such a comfort to know that it was God's plan and he answered my Mom's prayer. Her home going service was absolutely awesome. The strength that I felt that day was unbelievable. I didn't even cry! I played the piano for her one last time and sang the song that we sang in morning worship the Sunday she was killed. God's presence was truly in that service.
Keep the faith! The support you have is amazing and you have a lot of prayer going up all over the country. God bless!
Troy, you don't know us but you may recognize our faces because we have been attending the mass at St. Mary's, where you and Hyatt sing in the choir, for years. We remember you both before you had your children. Although our parish is large, attending mass at the historic church has always given us a true feeling of community. We have often talked about the beautiful music from your choir. Our hearts ache for you and your family at this time. Hyatt is not only a lovely young woman but, also, an inspirational singer. We have been saying many prayers for her as a family and do believe in miracles. This morning, my daughter even asked me how Hyatt was on our way to school. You are fortunate to have so much support from your family, your church and, your friends. May God watch over you all!
Praise God! What a fantastic testimony about the other patient. God can work miracles, we just have to trust Him and be patient!
Love you all and praying!

I learned of Hyatt and your family from one of her many friends in VA. Please know tht you are all being prayed for up here in CT. I have to tell you I am so amazed at the great blog you have set up for her to someday read, she is an amazing person from what I have read and can only imagine that is because she has been surrounded by the family and friends that have pulled together for her. As I read these entries it is eerily to familiar to me as I went through the same type of thing with my now 1yr old son. He was born with sever dialated cardiomyopathy and reading this reminds me of all we went through with him. We were promised all the poor diagnosis as you all, but he is still here with us, he is a fighter as well and may not have been here without ALL the power of PRAYER and POSITIVE thinking. So no pun intended, but my heart goes out to your entire family and to Hyatt hang on tough lady, you are all in our prayers! Michelle Garten
I heard about Hyatt from a Page HS Alumni group. I have just read your entire blog in the past 30 mins or so. I cannot believe this has happened and I am so sad about this. You ALL and especially those sweet little kids & Hyatt are in my thoughts and prayers.
I have notified many other Page HS class of 91 alum through FaceBook.
I hope you all feel our prayers and love surrounding you in this difficult time.

Prayers for Hyatt and her family from across the miles in Indiana. This blog was sent to me from a friend in Hyatt's mommy & kids group, and I have been thinking of all of you.
The loyalty and faithfulness your family has shown during this time, has been inspirational. Hyatt is so loved. We are praying for a miracle, and for the strength for all of you to cope with the fear and uncertainty you face each day.
Jesus told us in Matthew 17:19-20 when he said... "I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, `Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
God Bless all of you -

I went to high school with Hyatt and got word of her illness through another high school friend. I will keep Hyatt and your family in my prayers. It sounds like Hyatt is in the hospital in the DC area which is where I live. If that is the case and I can do anything to help (run errands, give rides for family or anything else) please let me know.
Sincerly,
Alison (Crombie) Kinnahan
I heard about your family and I want you to know you are in my thoughts and prayers. God is in control and he is a loving God. Dear Nolan Family,
I was a friend of Hyatt's at Page HS in Greensboro. A mutual friend just sent me this blog today. Hyatt is such a lovely person and I have thought of her often over the years fondly. Thanks to the mom's group for setting up a way for out of towners to contribute. As a mother to small children myself I can imagine how difficult this is for all of you. I am keeping you all in my thoughts.

Troy,
I went to Page with Hyatt. I just received the news today about what is going on. I am saddened by what you and your families are going through, but I believe God can do a miracle. I have been praying for you and Hyatt today, and will continue. I believe it is important that you get hold of a Bible and read some scripture passages to her. Even though her she may not respond physically at first, her spirit will pick up on it. When you get tired of reading, have other family members read or get the Bible on CD, so she can listen to it. Some of the passages I read today for her and you are Psalms 25 and Psalms 13. When you pray for her, be specific about what you are asking. He will hear and answer them.
Your sister in Christ, Penelope Brewer Lee
